Good to know.

Will it recover the exact original detail?

AI estimates missing detail; it cannot recover information that no longer exists. Results depend on the source. Compare your output carefully, especially text, faces, and fine patterns.

Can I convert without enlarging?

Yes. Choose Convert to keep the original dimensions and export as PNG, JPEG, WebP, HEIC, or TIFF. Lossless WebP is included. Animated inputs export their first frame.

What happens to transparency?

Alpha is retained when the output format supports it. JPEG does not support transparency, so Crispen composites it onto a white background.

What are the size limits?

Processing is capped at 300 megapixels, including intermediate AI passes. WebP supports up to 16,383 pixels per side. Start with 2× or 4×; 8× and 16× are best for small sources.

What about Crispen Pro?

A Pro subscription is planned. Paid tools, external AI services, and bring-your-own-key connections are not included in this first local release. No subscription is charged by this version.
